Who are we?

KAT WILLRETT & MARY GRACE MCCAULEY

We’re Kat Willrett and Mary Grace McCauley: the sisters behind Willrett Flower Company. With a combined decade of floral design and event experience, we bring a sense of calm and fun to the wedding planning process. We’re University of Arkansas Alumni, Illinois transplants, and lovers of all things colorful. Our aesthetic is known for its vibrancy and head-turning qualities, all while maintaining timelessness and elegance.

When we aren’t producing whimsical events, we enjoy spending time with our spouses and children, gardening, and giving back to the local community.

What we do

Willrett Flower Company is a full-service floral design studio and gift shop based in DeKalb, IL. Partnering with us means a seamless collaboration in creating the dreamiest arrangements for your wedding or event day, from the first phase right through to execution. Our specialties include providing curated florals and decor for weddings in the greater Chicago area and daily flower deliveries to the residents of DeKalb and Sycamore.

Our ‘why’

Nature and its gifts have been integral parts of our lives since our feet first touched the soil, so we couldn’t imagine ourselves operating in any other space. We’re passionate about bringing the outdoors inside in an intentional, creative way and using our years of experience to guide us. Because of our upbringing on a ranch, we care deeply about supporting local farmers, which is why we use locally-grown blooms whenever possible.

Flowers are present for all of life’s most important moments, and it’s a true privilege to create gorgeous, memorable arrangements for all our clients. Similarly, we have treasured playing a small role in the acts of kindness seen in loved ones receiving their bouquets of flowers as gifts.
